WHCCA Board Pickle or Apocalypse?

Yes, your board is in quite a pickle (a sour one). Here’s the deal, no one has expressed an interest in joining the board in 2015. Additionally, we have no one to serve as Board President in 2015. Not to mention that several current board members are approaching the end of their respective 3 year terms (or have already gone well beyond their term). If our association cannot successfully identify neighbors willing to serve on our board, and existing board members are unable to continue or extend their service, the board will face a very difficult decision regarding its future.

Simply put, without participation on the board, WHCCA cannot exist. Think about it, if we don’t have a treasurer collecting dues and paying our bills, we cannot conduct association business. Without a board, the following will likely occur:

• Voluntary dues can no longer be collected if there is no treasurer, and our bills cannot be paid.

• If we cannot pay our bills, our contract with a landscaper must be terminated and the sprinkler system at the WH entrance turned off. Maintaining the WH and Collingwood entrances would fall to the responsibility of neighbors.

• Whispers would end

• Our website would no longer be updated/maintained

• The following events will cease:

  • Easter Egg Hunt
  • Fourth of July Bike Parade and Picnic
  • Ice Cream Social

If you do not want the above things to come to pass and/or events to cease, now is the time to act.
